Both billionaires are trying to launch rockets going into long-range orbit. The two were in competition with each other for US government contracts. Under this, in 2024, the spaceship was to be designed for the Artemis mission to take the astronauts to the moon. This contract was passed on to Musk's company, which Bezos did not accept. Bezos' company Blue Origin on Monday lodged a protest against NASA at the Government Accountability Office (GAO) alleging that the auction conditions were finally changed on the spot.

Musk took a pinch

Musk quipped on this news and said, 'Could not take to class LOL'. He did not write anything further but shared a screenshot of a 2019 report unveiling Bezos' Blue Origin Moon Lander. Blue Origin lags behind SpaceX and United Launch Alliance (Boeing Co. and Lockheed Martin Corp.) in Orbital Transportation. It has also lost a multi-billion dollar US national security launch contract.

Blue Origin complained

NASA gave the contract for the moon mission to SpaceX and Blue Origin had to see defeat with Dynetics. Blue Origin said in a statement that NASA has incorrectly acquired the Na Humman landing system and finally changed the target on the spot.
